53. Advertisement of the 2006-2007 Tentative Budget and Millages (Revised)

Minutes: 

Dr. George Copeland briefly reviewed the proposed 2006-07 budget and the millage levies.  A tax increase will be advertised for a 10.43% increase over the rolled back rate.  The notice of a proposed tax increase will be advertised in the Clay County Leader on July 27, 2006 and notice will be given of the public hearing to be held on July 31, 2006 at 5:15 p.m.



Motions:
Authorization to advertise the 2006-07 Tentative Budget in the amount of $378,517,128 and the total millage levy of 7.779 which exceeds the rolled-back rate by 10.43 percent. The Public Hearing to adopt the Tentative Budget will be held on July 31, 2006 at 5:15 p.m.- PASS

Minutes: 

Carol Vallencourt and Carol Studdard will serve on the Value Adjustment Board for 2006 as the School Board's representatives. 

 

57. Due Process Hearing
Minutes: Mrs. Vallencourt will act as Hearing Officer for the upcoming due process hearing requested by a terminated custodian from Lakeside Elementary School.
58. Followup Meeting with BCC
Minutes: Mr. Bolla inquired about a followup meeting with the Board of County Commissioners regarding concurrency issues.  Mrs. Studdard, the School Board's liaison, will contact Mr. Bush, the BCC's liaison, to determine if there is a need for a followup meeting.
